Here's a comparison of all relevant Skyrim Tree Mods. While modding Skyrim VR, I wanted to pick the best tree mod, so I compared them all. Took some screenshots (follow post's link) with SE to provide an objective visual comparison to augment my personal findings. First, here's a list of all tree mods I tested and compared:

Just use enhanced vanilla trees. I've tried everything many times each. I always go back to EVT, and for it I recommend the main file, and alternative tree file, that's it. Run ultra dyndolod and grab shizofs fps stabilizer. It may be an unpopular opinion around here, but 3D trees is my jam.

But this mod can work alongside mods that only add new trees in new locations, depending on the way the blablabla additional trees are set up, my mod will either use its new tree locations and place my own trees there, or both mods can work alongside one another.

Happy Little Trees is a Vanilla Tree Replacer that aims for good visuals while having a very low performance cost. There are great looking, performance expensive trees on many Discord Channels and fast trees on the Nexus. But I missed a tree mod that tried to combine both worlds. I measured an impact of 5 FPS with a disabled FPS limit on my GTX.
